Responsible for all operational duties of company. Included but not limited to: Company direction and implementation of systems, structures and ,setting annual goals for sales consultants, portfolio development, procurement and route to market.
Assisted in selection of interesting wines for small niche Wine and Spirits Distribution Company. Consulted with restaurant and retail buyers, providing wine and spirits selections to enhance their offerings to their customers.
Assisted during and after harvest with all grape processing and fermentation procedures, including sorting, lab work, punch downs, pump overs, additions, barrel transfers, and barrel maintenance. Also blending and bottling and labeling of wines.
Buyer of all wine and merchandise for 2 retail stores on Vancouver Island. Created curriculum for and educated retail staff on wine and sales , group and individual sessions. Organized and managed all wine dinners, special charity events, and consumer wine classes
Responsible for all wine and spirits purchasing, and general day to day operations of a Wine and Spirit retail store; staff, inventory control, education, off site wine dinners, tastings, and consumer events.
Assisted in day to day running of retail store and procurement of niche wines and spirits for a new store. Helped market new store with outside wine tastings and charity events in the community. Built customer loyalty by hand selling and offering in store help with parties and education.
