ABOUT THE WINE:

• GRAPES: 78% Tempranillo 22% Garnacha
Aromatic with spicy balsamic and ripe strawberries, black pepper, licorice, nutmeg and cinnamon; all
fallow through on the palate with a full body, fresh acid and polished tannins
• Hand harvested, fermented in Stainless steel
• Tempranillo aged for 36 months in used American oak, and Garncacha aged separately for 30 ,months in American
oak.
• This wine has been on the Wine Spectators top 100 years, several times in the past 10 years.

ABOUT THE WINERY
• Winery started in 1890 when 5 Basque and Rioja families merged their wineries In Haro, Spain.
• La Rioja Alta has a long storied and well-respected history. Only producing Reserva and Gran Reserva
wines in the best vintages
• Use no chemicals in the vineyards and are slowly converting vineyards to organic.
• Focus on old vines.
