The Thru Vines Wine 101 Series is a selection of educational wine tasting workshops that provide a foundational understanding of what wine is, where it comes from, and how to find what you like in your local market.

Our courses are available as single workshops, or as a class series for community education event centers, fun in-home group settings or corporate and restaurant sales training.

In these two-hour classes, your wine educator creates an environment focused on students and consumers to feel relaxed and ask as many questions that arise in the learning process. You’ll sample a selection of wines of which are discussed as a basis of our learning topics.

The Wine ‘101’ series is geared toward the consumer who wants a better basic understanding of processes, wine region and relevant topics to understand and speak to the wines you will drink.

We are careful to give the most up to date information, so that they can make more educated decisions in their wine purchases. Wines tasted will represent the topic, focusing on introducing smaller producers, now available in our market.

How do we experience flavor? How does smell affect our experience of taste? What should certain wines look like, and why? These foundational understandings are covered.

In France, one of the world’s finest wine-producing countries, you’ll discuss and sample wines from major regions available in Nashville, while learning to navigate label confusion.
