Everything that I do is about educating, whether it’s teaching or consulting. We look at the entire world of wine – the business end, the viniculture; viticulture and how everything works – not only how it tastes or smells.

Tintero Barbaresco

Cantine Elvio Tintero
Tintero Barbaresco
Piedmont Italy

Beautiful expression of  Barbaresco. A Kermit Lynch Wine import (very well respected importer!)

ABOUT THE WINE:
• GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo
• TASTE:  Aromatics of roses and violets, with flavors of red and black cherry fruit, a bit of spice and licorice. Fresh, Silky and elegant with a bit of powdery tannin
Sustainably farmed, following ‘Lutte Raisonee’ France equivalent. 24 mos aging in old oak foudres
• PAIRS WITH: Roast or grilled duck breast, Filet migon, grilled pork tenderloin, wild mushroom ragu, or porcini risotto. Also Pizza with Taleggio and sun dried tomoatos, Pasta with red sauces

ABOUT THE WINERY
• In 1900, French winemaker Pierre Tintero wandered down to Piedmont, and worked as hired hand for widow Rosina Cortesa before falling in love. The rest is history. Marco is 4th generation and current proprietor, along with his daughter in law Cinzia.
• Sustainably Farmed known as Lutte Raisonee (the reasoned fight!)
• Goal is to offer low intervention, delicious authentic wines to the world at a reasonable cost. They always drink higher than their price point
